Led by our Minister, Shelley Dring, (that’s Shelley above) and a Leadership Team of seven Deacons, Moortown Baptist Church (MBC) isn’t just a building with a cross on its roof; no, it’s a mix of nigh on a hundred and fifty people of all ages, from all backgrounds and with a whole range of different interests.
Based on the premise of loving God, living generously and following Christ our main service, which usually lasts just over an hour and is broadcast live on YouTube starts every Sunday at 11am. However, the number of groups and projects that we either run or are involved in means there’s rarely a day goes by when MBC isn’t engaging with the community.
Where we are and what we believe.
You’ll find MBC at 204 King Lane, Leeds LS17 6AA, that’s by the big roundabout where Stonegate Road crosses King Lane. And as Christians we believe that anyone and everyone can have a personal relationship with God; in fact, bringing people to a belief in the everlasting love of God, through Jesus, is really what we’re all about.
To that end our way of thinking is that the more effective we are in our community the more we are honouring God by following Jesus’ command to “make disciples of all nations.”
