As he sets off on the very last leg of his 7 in 7 Together challenge Shelley and Karen drum Kevin Sinfield on his way

Later in the week, or at least certainly before we publish our next online newsletter we’ll have a full account of last Sunday’s special day. But in the meantime here are some pictures taken on the day that give you a flavour of what we all got up to.

As you can see, for entertainment our Christmas Community Cafe had The Leeds Saxophone Quartet and Dance Tribe – who for one performance only were joined by Shelley and Daisy, and we had biscuit decorating for our youngsters.

However, the centrepiece of the day had to be the arrival of Kevin Sinfield and his entourage who just a couple of miles away from Headingley were literally on the last leg of their epic 7 in 7 Together ultra-maraton challenge.

There are a number of Kevin images above, 0f particular note are one of  Shelley and Karen banging out seven beats on the starting drum, and two of John Sherbourne’s which, complete with spelling mistakes, the Yorkshire Evening Post’s used in their online special showing the BBC interviewing MND supporters boxer Josh Warrington and triathlete Jonny Brownlee.

Oh, and if you wondering where Nathan was while all this was going on the answer is he spent the day at the Beckett Park University Campus because as one of Kevin’s sponsors (see if you can spot the ND+A logo on Kev’s shirt) he had the “privilege” of running alongside Kevin in the Extra Mile Santa Dash.
