Beacon is our Monday morning Warm Space café which serves up free tea, coffee and cakes to anyone who might like to call in. Beacon runs between 10am and 12 noon.
Running alongside Beacon is what we call the Lord’s Pantry. Stocking a small supply of groceries, toiletries and cleaning materials the Lord’s Pantry allows us to give away these basic essentials totally free of charge to anyone in genuine need.
Then between 10am and 11.30 there’s Stepping Stones, our Tuesday morning toddler group – or as we like to call it “the place to which our toddlers bring their grown ups.”
On Wednesdays our Senior’s Lead Rachel Beedle and her volunteer team host Lunch Club. Lunch Club sees our seniors being driven to and from home, taken out on trips, playing games, doing quizes and of course always enjoying a cooked lunch.
Thursday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm sees our second Warm Space of the week. This time it’s our Craft Group. Now don’t be put off by the title because believe you me the ability to craft is definitely not a requirement; in fact the only “qualification” you need to attend Craft Group is the ability to drink tea and coffee, eat biscuits and cake and chat.
